Proposal: Fast Track

Times out and passes, 7-4 ~ southpointingchariot

Create a new dynastic rule, “Fast Track” with text:

Any pending proposal may be failed immediately by any Admin if the Net has voted VETO on it and the word ‘fast’ was in the EVC containing that vote.

against I find the passive-aggressive “self-kill, please fast veto this, WHY HAVEN’T YOU FAST VETOED THIS YET” a little tiresome.

@Kevan: sure there are some annoying players out there, but for the most part I think this could really speed up gameplay.

It is the Net’s job to keep the dynasty running smoothly.  The fast veto is a useful tool for doing so.

[Patrick/Bucky] Except the thing that really slows down an active dynasty is when a proposal is controversial (or players are lazy about voting on it) and it jams up the queue while taking 48 hours to time out. A fast veto seems more about letting impatient players repeatedly rewrite their own flawed proposals until they get them exactly right, instead of encouraging others to have a go, with their own spin - the latter has always seemed more healthy for a Nomic, to me.

@Kevan: Well I’ve never really seen the effects of something like this so your point is fair enough. imperial CoV
