Proposal: Fresher is Better

Times out and passes 8-2-1 / Skju

Adminned at 19 Jul 2013 21:06:25 UTC

If the proposal “Fresh Start” fails, this proposal does nothing. Add a new dynastic rule called “<><" and give it the following text
If a Player has an Image and has not has not changed their Image within the last 48 hours, they may change their Image to another valid Image provided provided the following all hold: The new Image contains a different number of characters as their old Image. The new Image starts with the same letter that the old Image started with or ends with the same letter their old Image ended with, but not both. The new Image is in a different numbered list as their old Image.

for I expect this to be correctly interpreted, but I would use list formatting and define the scope of “different numbered list”, which could be construed as the list of big or small sections. Nice title.

Since this requires a preexisting Image, can )_( be interpreted such that a Player can get their first Image?

I put it in a list. It just got deformated somehow.

“Each player should choose one item from a numbered list on this page to be their Image”

I think that makes it fairly clear we are allowed to do it

imperial (Abstention)

Looks like the formatting is screwed up because of the angle brackets in the rule title.

against I personally like the idea of images being permanent

Images don’t do anything yet. If we make images permanent, people are stuck making completely blind decisions and then a cool proposal about images turns from “is this interesting” to “do I like the powers I’m being stuck with”

Come to think of it, maybe I’d already cast enough FOR votes before I cast that one,

I guess I saw them as flavorful more than mechanical.
