Fweep: Best to be sure

Fweep upheld, or at least not overturned, 1-1. Josh

When he fweeped me for fragging Blacky’s death, coppro also reverted that frag in the GNDT. It’s of course too early to tell for sure, but it looks like that fweep is going to be overturned, and in fact coppro himself went on to act in a manner consistent with the assumption that my frag was in fact legitimate (although that action is in the process of being overturned via a separate fweep).

These both indicate that coppro was incorrect to revert my frag and thus this was an illegal change to the GNDT.

against coppro can’t be penalised for building his actions on previous (possibly) illegal actions. Is it me, or is the whole thing about fweeps and fouls simply superceding the CfJ process? Surely people doing things that are against the rules should go to a CfJ instead?

Maybe it’s legal, maybe it’s not - if there is a genuine dispute about whether or not something is legal, it should be raised as a CfJ.

PA: I think you’ve misunderstood the problem here. I’m not complaining that he made a legal action that built on an illegal one; I’m complaining that he reverted my entirely legal action.

In rule 3.2 it says:

“If a Gladiator feels that the GNDT was altered such that it no longer matches the gamestate (such as by performing an action which was against the Rules (as they were at the time of the alteration), or by any other means), they may simply undo the effects of that alteration. Instead of repeatedly reverting and re-reverting a disputed GNDT update, Gladiators are encouraged to raise a Call for Judgment instead.”

If the fweep is overturned then surely the frags are just re-reverted?

No, “Instead of repeatedly reverting and re-reverting a disputed GNDT update, Gladiators are encouraged to raise a Call for Judgment instead.” - Fweeps aren’t in any way binding, they’re just a vote to see whether players think a particular player deserves a Foul for some behaviour.
