Add a new dynastic rule, entitled, “Lights”, as follows:
At all times, the lights are either “on” or “off”. The initial state of the lights is “on”. The state of the lights may be changed as follows:
* By the Executor, as follows: The Executor may, from time to time, change the state of the lights by posting a blog post indicating the new state of the lights.
[Mrs. Peacock turns on the lights and, shocked at seeing Mr Boddy lying prone and unmoving, drops the knife.]
Could we also have a thing on the sidebar to show the current state of the lights. Some of us are blind and can’t remember if the lights are on or off.
So long as we can keep it relatively infrequent, I’ll put it in the sidebar and change the colour of the blog background, or something.
Maybe all the power should go out though.. or will the television still work when the lights are off?

If it’s tracked somewhere on the page, then I can probably get alethio-sparrow-script to change the background color, at least for those who have it.
Don’t like “from time to time” but I wouldn’t have minded “at will” anyway, so no real complaint.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
