This is a comment on my own post so that I will get emails when other people comment, because if there’s another way to get notifications I don’t know about it.

If it helps, sure. I remember taking out a “Write a New Message” link a few years ago (after asking for any objections) because I kept clicking on it when I meant to click “Make a New Post”, and it’s just as accessible by clicking on a username, but an inbox link would make some sense.

I didn’t really like the “new message” link either, but when you want to, eg, review private information from the Emperor, a one-click way to review one’s inbox seems valuable.

Maybe it could be in a location not immediately next to the make a new past link?

i have added it to the sidebar. if you feel that changes to the sidebar other than those already in the ruleset needs a proposal, make a CfJ about it

Good work. It was only that we used to have two links called “Write a New Message” and “Make a New Post” right next to each other - the location of this one’s fine.
