Proposal: I Knew I Forgot Something

In the rule “Reminders”, add the following text:

If at least a quorum of Wordsmiths have posted a Scoring to an Open Backronym, and that Backronym is currently Open, the Puzzler should privately send a message of their choice to each Playing Wordsmith who has not posted a Scoring to that Backronym, if the Puzzler has not done so for that Wordsmith in the past 24 hours.

Probably should have reminders about Scoring too, in case people accidentally miss Scoring a Backronym.

imperial Unless there’s some nuance to Rivals that I’m overlooking, aren’t you free to do this anyway (and with as much nuance and consideration as you like) under your Servile Imperial Style?

We only really need to spell it out in rules when the Emperor would be revealing secret information.

True, but I wanted to make it clear under what conditions this would be happening and give everyone else some control over it. If this fails, that’s an indication to me that, as Servile as I might be, those sorts of reminders aren’t desired.

If it passes, but later it’s amended to every 48 hours, then that helps me adjust my reminder frequency. Otherwise, I might be pestering people more often than necessary.

In short, the rule is less about the protection of secret information and more about giving me guidance about what the rest of the active players prefer in terms of reminder messages.

To me that bigger concern is getting moved to play before 24 hours are passed. Would rather this be worded in a way that ensures that doesn’t happen
