Proposal: I think we’re overdue here

Timed out and failed, 3-5. Josh

Adminned at 29 Jan 2022 23:26:45 UTC

Reword the text in the rule “Job Titles” that reads “for instance, the CEO has a Seniority of 8, and an Intern has a Seniority of 0” to read

for instance, an Intern has a Seniority of 0.

Add a new rule entitled “The Means of Production” as follows:

If any Employee (other than the CEO, if the CEO is an Employee) has more Vested Value than each other Employee and is senior to each other Employee, then that Employee achieves and has achieved victory in the current dynasty.

“any other Employee” might be construed to mean you pick one employee than whom you have more vesting. I recommend “each other Employee”. (Unless you were planning to hand Josh the win?)

Wow, I don’t know how I constructed such an awkward sentence that might also be grammatically correct. I was trying not to dangle the participle, “than”.

I appreciate the innuendo, but Brendan and I are not working together, Ty, unlike you and Clucky.

Sorry for using you as a prop, Clucky, but just to illustrate that nobody loves being the target of a drive-by.

TyGuy6:

There’s a thought. Hey, Clucky, we’re both “rich”, let’s roll off to see who gets to win?

{Clucky, TyGuy6}:TyGuy6. Oh, would you look at that! :D

Oh, sorry Josh. I was just pointing out that you’d have won right away if Chiiika idled out and the proposal was passed as-is. I didn’t think about how you might feel if nothing was up.

I think this implies you have to be more senior than the CEO, which is, I’m pretty sure, impossible.

[SupernovaStarbright] No, the CEO is not currently an Employee for the purposes of dynastic rules—Zack needs a quorum of FOR votes (not just a majority) to deactivate “Dynastic Distance.”

@TyGuy Would I? I don’t have “more Vesting Value than any other Employee” and I don’t see a way around that/

[TyGuy6] Fair enough, edited. Can confirm I’m not currently allied with anyone, so if you’re looking for a partner, hit me up on Discord!

I still think this helps Josh too much. He can just wait until he has enough options to top everyone else and then win

Josh: Observer he/they

Oh, yeah, easy, I just have to casually get more Options than everyone else and also not get demoted through a carefully crafted demotion proposal specifically targeting me

TyGuy6:

27-01-2022 23:17:56 UTC

True that anyone who could possibly win through seniority is going to get demoted asap. I think this wincon feels like it’s either going to happen through scam, by accident, or not at all.

Also, Josh, I was saying that “any” could be misinterpreted as “pick one”. Everyone with >0 vesting would have qualified. (But now we be goochie.)

Don’t forget pooling! It could also happen through pooling!
