Proposal: If a wood chuck could chuck wood

9-0 and enacted - coppro

Create a new Rule called “Log Entries” with the following text:

All actions that result in changes to the The Arena wiki page must be logged as individual actions in the wiki, along with a description of what event has taken place.

Much simpler Version, credits to Josh.

Charge is a Main action that forces the user to take an action (Enter the Arena).  It’s not clear to me if this rule’s wording is ambiguous, forces the user to separate Charge out into 2 actions, forces the user to perform Charge as one Action, including the “Enter the Arena” action, or as both 1 and 2 actions (contradiction).

And I still think this is overkill.

aguydude: The “Tough Shove” proposal does force a Gladiator that takes the action “Charge” to immediatly take the action “Enter the arena”. It does not force them to be the same action.

Regarding overkill: Might be, but I say this much: I could start reverting every GNDT change that is unclear to me if this doesn’t pass per Rule “Gamestate Tracking”, thus enforcing pretty much this rule or at least something in the same direction.

for This shouldn’t go down just because of charging.  We can change charging if we need to.

imperial Is there anything in the rules that says the logging needs to be accurate?

Well, kind of: In Rule 3.2 “Gamestate Tracking” it says:

“one GNDT update may contain one or more actions, or one action may be split over multiple GNDT updates, as long as it’s clear what is happening and the actions are otherwise legal.”

This means that if a GNDT update contains one or more actions, it needs to be clear what is happening (whatever that means). I believe this can be achieved through multiple ways: Wiki-comments, GNDT comments, preferably both.
