Proposal: In Need of Repair

In the subrule “Tasks”, add the following row to the table:

| Repair || For each Assigned Serf, subtract 1 Damage, to a minimum of 0.

Accumulating Damage is probably going to be bad in the long run.

For my money, Damage is sort of anti-victory points - so for now I’m averse to adding a redundant gameplay loop

Yeah, I was struggling with “last Vassal standing” as a goal, or awarding some other victory-based resource for not being damaged in a round. If it’s the latter, accumulated damage could simply be a hindrance towards building, and thus repairing it would be desired.

I didn’t want to put too hard of a stamp on it just yet. I’m waiting for the player base to decide which direction to go, but I’ll help nudge it along if no other decisions are made. In the meantime, I’m fine if this doesn’t get enacted.

imperial I’m happy with either “damage is just tracking failure” or “damage has gameplay impact and can be managed by expending resources”.

With Accelerant passing, waves are only going to get bigger, and fast. I see no reason to not allow repairs, given that it will take away precious resources needed to build more defenses.
