Proposal: Insanity

Self-killed. Failed by pokes.

Adminned at 15 Jun 2017 10:24:43 UTC

Add a new subrule “Madness” to the rule “Explorers” with the text

Explorers have Insanity tracked on the GNDT. Insanity defaults to 0. Explorers with an Insanity of greater than 10 are insane.
Insane Explorers cannot utilize their Background powers.

Add a subrule “Going Insane” to the rule “Madness” with the text:

*The first time an Explorer is in the same location as a Horror that they have not gained insanity from previously

I couldn’t think of a non-automatic way for insanity to be based off of temperature of locations that wasn’t overly complicated

Is part of a sentence missing?

If the rule title is part of the rule, then this reads:

Going insane: The first time an Explorer is in the same location as a Horror that they have not gained insanity from previously

which means that Explorers do not gain insanity from Horrors, but instead they go Insane directly.

If the rule title is not part of the rule, then this reads:

The first time an Explorer is in the same location as a Horror that they have not gained insanity from previously

...so what happens when that happens?

Rule titles are never part of the text, the appendix states that somewhere. I did miss a sentence when copying the previous failed proposal.  against
