Is clearing the entire GNDT log strictly necessary for you to start the dynasty? Any admin may remove the obsolete variables from the GNDT once you repeal the dynastic rules in your ascension address (and it is arguably illegal to do so until you post the AA, because the rules that govern them still exist).

As far as I know, the occasional complete wipe of the log is useful mostly because it prevents values from previous dynasties from popping up when a variable name is reused (this is evidently why Kevan has ended up with the amusing footballing position of ‘Wolf’).

We have not cleaned the GNDT log in 2 years.  The log has become long enough that it slows down normal GNDT operations.

GNDT log now cleaned. As was said elsewhere, this wasn’t necessary before starting the new dynasty, as it can be done at any time, with any or no GNDT data left in place.
