Pay attention.  This is not a scam.

Move sections one and two of the Ruleset, “Laws” and “Rules”, to the page entitled “Old Laws and Rules” on the Wiki.

Add in the place of “Laws” a section, also entitled “Laws”, with the following text:

== Ruleset and Gamestate ==
This is the Ruleset for BlogNomic; all Gostaks must obey it.
Section One consists of the “laws” of blognomic, covering basic Gostak and proposal mechanics; Section Two contains the “rules” of the current round, and Section Three contains the glossary, which exists solely to clarify the remainder of the ruleset. Laws and rules may be referred to by eir type and entire number or type and name. (e.g. This Law may be referred to as Law 1.1 or the Law entitled “Ruleset and Gamestate”).

== Preamble ==
Lars Atomica is the dictator of BlogNomic.

The Ruleset may never be altered except in ways specified in section 1.3, “Modification”.

== Modification ==
A Gostak whose name is listed in section 1.4, “The Junta”, is called a Member of the Junta.

A Member of the Junta may alter the Ruleset at any time.

== The Junta ==
* Lars Atomica

== Proposals ==
Any Gostak may propose a change to the Ruleset or gamestate by posting an entry (http://blognomic.com/update/index.php?C=publish) in the “Proposal” category that describes the changes e wishes to be made.  If a Member of the Junta likes this Proposal, the proposal is Enacted, and e might make the changes specified in it.

Any Proposal made by a Member of the Junta applies retroactively upon its Enactment.

== Gostaks ==
Anybody may apply to join BlogNomic (if e is not already playing) by registering at http://blognomic.com via the Register link in the sidebar, and then making a post announcing eir arrival.  An Admin will add em to the roster in the sidebar, at which moment e becomes a Gostak.

A Gostak may leave the game at any time by posting an entry to the BlogNomic weblog requesting such an action. A Gostak may only change their name as a result of a proposal approving the change.

Some Gostaks are Admin Staff, responsible for updating the site and the Ruleset, and are signified as such in the sidebar. Gostaks who wish to become Admins shall sign up with a username for the Ruleset Wiki, and submit a Proposal to make themselves Admins. Existing Admins may be removed from eir post by voluntary resignation.

Some Gostaks are Idle, and shall be marked as such in the sidebar. For the purposes of the ruleset, except for this rule, idle Gostaks are not counted as Gostaks. Admin may render a Gostak idle if that Gostak has failed to vote for more than a week, or if it has asked to become idle. Admins may un-idle a Gostak at eir request - the Gostak’s personal gamestate retains the values it had immediately prior to eir idling.

Add in the place of “Rules”, a section entitled “Decrees”.

Italicize the first point of section 3, “Glossary”, after the word ‘unless’, so that it effectively reads “It is noted that where a Proposal would amend the effects of Proposal Enactment, this does not apply to its own enactment.”

This proposal applies retroactively.  This is an explicit statement that its effect changes the effects of Proposal Enactment and will apply to this Proposal.

The Ruleset specifies, “It is noted that where a Proposal would amend the effects of Proposal Enactment, this does not apply to its own enactment unless explicitly stated (eg. a proposal proposing that enacted proposals earn their writer a banana when enacted would not earn a banana for its own writer, when enacted).”

This proposal amends the effects of Proposal Enactment - notably that a Proposal made by me applies retroactively if I like it.  Because I am explicitly stating that this applies to this proposal, the proposal, by its own enactment, enacts itself given that I like it, and I most certainly do.

I will be a very benevolent dictator, who, by taking out the old loopholes, will restore some fun to the game.  The purpose of this is to speed up fixing the changes, and when doing so is done, I will reinstate the old order.  Let’s just go crazy with this, shall we?

Purplebeard:It puts lars in total control until I exploit a loophole to get into the Junta and boot Lars.  Afterwards, chaos ensues until either someone has the presence of mind to fix the loophole or we throw out the Junta ruleset and coup the dictator, returning to the old ruleset be a series of illegal actions to be legalized by CFJ later.
