In The Grand Scheme change

A Traveller’s name may only be added as a keyword by that Traveller themselves, and may only be added as a Trigger Event, not as a side effect.

to

A Traveller’s name may be added or removed as a keyword by any Traveller. Travellers other than the Arbiter may only do so as a Trigger Event, not as a side effect.

I’d take the restriction out altogether.

Why have the sentence “A Traveller’s name may be added or removed as a keyword by any Traveller.”?

To justify the next one.

Sorry, I never explained my real reason for voting.  I would like names to be removable through side effects (as they currently are), but this proposal removes that functionality.

I’m not sure which restriction Thelonious is referring to, but it is important that names not be added as side effects.  Remember that altering a node with many keywords can cause tons of side effects.

I’ve got nothing against removing ” by that Traveller themselves, and may only be added” from the rule.

Stopping names from being removed as side-effects would also stop the Node Event game from tending towards zero - as it stands, whenever you erase someone’s name from a Node, you also get to erase their name from at least one later one at the same time, making deletions at least twice as easy as creations.
