Proposal: My Favorite Kind of Victory, By Default!

Add a new rule entitled “{[(o)]}”:

If all but one non-idle Player are Impossible, then the Player that is not Impossible achieves victory. That Player then has a 48 hour grace period to declare victory, during which they remain in a state of victory. Should a new Player join the game or another Player unidle during or after the grace period, then the original victorious Player is no longer victorious after the 48 hour period.

This probably should have been done as soon as it was possible to be Impossible. This way the game does not get deadlocked, and I honestly don’t think we even need another victory condition.

how do you know all but one player is Impossible?

Clucky, I honestly don’t know. But right now we have no way of getting out of a deadlock. Theoretically, people will expose themselves as Impossible, but as it is not required then it could happen that someone has, in fact, won, but nobody knows it.

If we get in a state of deadlock, we can deal with it then. But currently I could propose victory, thinking I’ve won, and then that would force someone to prove me wrong by revealing they are not Impossible. I just don’t like it.

Plus it opens the door for someone who knows of a scam to spam everyones guesses with everything to win before the dynasty can really get going.

Its very likely something that would be nice to have as a victory condition later, I just am almost always opposed to victory conditions within the first week of the dynasty—especially in this case because it is so nebulous

For reference, the “grace period” is redundant - the victory rule (intentionally, I think) says “have achieved victory in the current Dynasty” in the past tense. If you meet the victory condition but the gamestate changes back before you have time to react, you can still declare the win.

against Probably if they can prove all other Players are Impossible would be a better way to word it.
