Declaration of Victory: Call for Judgement: April Fools!

This post has the DoV category, but claims to be a CfJ. Since it meets the requirements of neither it is not an official post, but an April Fool’s Joke.—Angry Grasshopper

Adminned at 03 Apr 2006 14:46:44 UTC

Lars Atomica:  THIS is how you write a good retroactive effect proposal.  Only it’s a CfJ.
Everything in this must be done in the order listed.

While this is pending:
1) Being a CfJ, this does not count against Bucky’s proposal limit.
2) CfJs that mention this post automatically fail
3) Bucky is considered to have an infinite amout of Dosh.
4) This does not appear on the sidebar.
5) Bucky may edit this any time e wants.  Oooooooo.

When this is adminned, regardless of whether it is passing or failing:

Change all for  votes to against  votes.
Change all against  votes to for  votes.
Change all imperial  votes to for  votes.
Change all veto  votes to for  votes.

Then, admin it again with the new vote count.  If there are more against  votes than for  votes, enact this anyway.

Give all the Cheese to Bucky.
Give all the Dosh to Lars Atomica.
Give all the Stigma to Kevan.
Give all the Bars to Lazy Joe.

Create a new rule entitled “List of Awesome Gostaks.”
Add Lars Atomica to the List of Awesome Gostaks for setting me on the train of thought which led to this proposal.
All past CfJs become Failed.
Elvis leaves The Building.
2000 Shiny Demons appear and carry everyone who did not vote on this to Hell.
Put Excalabur on the 0th Floor.
The admin who enacts this must do a backflip.
Add Personman to the List of Awesome Gostaks. (Hey, thanks!)
If such a rule does not exist, make a new rule with a title of “A” which reads, “Bucky may modify the Ruleset in any manner at any time.”
Add The VIP to the List of Awesome Gostaks.
If you have not already done so twice, repeat everything that has happened since Excalabur went to the 0th Floor.

Are we having fun yet?

Add a new column to the GDNT called “Awesomeness!”
Everyone has 2 awesomeness.
Bucky gets 8 awesomeness.
Anyone who is in Hell gets no awesomeness.
Put everyone in the Lobby on the List of Awesome Gostaks.
Everyone on the List of Awesome Gostaks automatically has infinite Awesomeness.  Give all the Awesomeness to Quazie.

This is not a Proposal.
This is not a Declaration of Victory.

Create a new rule entitled “Global constants” which reads, “For blognomic purposes, P is officially equivalent to NP and PI equals 5.  The speed of light is 31536000 light-seconds per year.”

Pass all failed proposals.  Fail all passed proposals.  Then undo all effects of the previous two steps.

Replace every E in all official posts with a Z and vice versa.  Treat the official posts as if they had their original wording.  Chaos now officially rules all.

Change all instances of the word “English” in the ruleset to “Pig Latin.”

Translate the entire Ruleset into Pig Latin.

One picosecond after this is enacted, anything it did that may have been illegal at the time is retroactively declared legal.

Two picoseconds after this is failed, enact it.

Make this CfJ Failed.

Within 72 hours of right NOW, all Gostaks, DPGs and entities must make a post saying “MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” or be idled.

I will be very surprised if this receives less than 3 against votes.

Pi=5 is no good for Euclidean geometry (as you know), but P=NP may be true.

Anybody else here do computational complexity?

Actually, should this pass, chaos will offically rulz all.

Could be a neat theme for the next dynasty.

I declare my vote to be AGAINST this fine proposal. against

By the way, I am proud to cast the first legal vote in the history of blognomic. The ruleset clearly states that ‘Any Gostak may cast eir Vote on a Pending Proposal by declaring it in the comments of the entry.’ Have you ever declared your vote? I think not.

Angry Grasshopper:

01-04-2006 03:31:35 UTC

Which then goes on to read:

“..valid votes are FOR, AGAINST, and DEFERENTIAL, which must be represented by appropriate icons.”

They’ve gotten you too! Ia!

I am deeply shamed. But wait! I can still salvage this with some more legalizing…

The voting types are represented by the appropriate icons, how could they not be? It’s a truism! The voting icons are always represented by appropriate icons. Phew.

Angry Grasshopper:

Down with the oppressive system of VOTING TYPES and VOTING ICONS! Your bourgeoisie VOTING TYPES and classist VOTING ICONS are nothing but a system by which the great masses consent to be tyrannized!

Bucky:

Slight mistake.  Fixing as per item five.  This is legal.

This has been submitted as a Declaration of Victory, which is why Bucky is legally allowed to change it; it’s not any type of legal game posting, as CfJs need to be of that type, and DoVs need the subject line.

What larks I’m missing.

Angry Grasshopper:

01-04-2006 20:04:05 UTC

Don’t laugh now, but it was originally a proposal that was modified by sleight of hand after the fact.

Bucky:

01-04-2006 20:24:51 UTC

AG: It was of type DoV the entire time.
