Proposal: Rules of War
Reaches 48 hours but has failed to reach quorum. Ends at 4-6 and is failed. -SingularByte

Add the following as a new rule to the ruleset called “Combat”:
Each Demiurge has an amount of Glory, which is a publicly tracked integer that defaults to 0.
Assaulting for N (where N is some integer) is an atomic action with the following steps:
- Reduce the Guardian’s Health by N.
- Gain N Glory.
- Provoke the Guardian
Add a subrule to “Combat” called “Counterattack” with the following text:
Provoking the Guardian is an atomic action with the following steps:
- Reduce your Health by 15.
If the Proposal “Badump” was enacted, replace the number “15” in the subrule “Counterattack” with “5 times The Heartbeat of Creation.”
Introducing an “Assault” mechanic. I plan on expanding Counterattack in my next proposal (and someone should add a way to attack!) but this is just a simple proposal to get things started.

The Guardian feels a tad weak in this proposal to be honest. If it takes a beat each time to attack it (which I suspect it will), it would take literal real world months of you attacking it non-stop for you to actually die to counterattacks.
MadisonSilver:
Yeah, that’s fair; I just didn’t want to start off with a super high number! Going to edit this proposal and “Defense Mechanism” to make the guardian a bit more dangerous.

@Brendan This doesn’t actually let people take the Assault action yes. Presumably, there would be some other rule that says (e.g) “as a daily action Demiurges may Assault for 5” or some variant thereof.
MadisonSilver:
*yet, not yes.

Thinking about things, it might be better if combat mechanics were more generalised rather than being highly specific to the sole enemy in the game.
