Proposal: Self-Promotion 1.1

Self-killed. Failed by Kevan.

Add to the rule “Civic Titles”:

If an Architect’s Site meets the criteria for one or more Civil Titles, they may update the Moon Sites page to display the relevant Civil Title/s next to their name.
This is called ‘claiming’.

Add to the rule “Civic Titles”:

An Architect holds a Civil Title if their Site meets the criteria for that Title, and if they have claimed that Title.

Add to the rule “Civic Titles”:

An Architect may claim a Civil Title which is held by another Architect.

I broke it up into three rules to make it easier to agree to one part and object to another, if necessary.

The and-statement of the second bit slightly undermines the rest - that sometimes the wiki will be wrong when it says “Farsight: Cool House”, if Farsight’s base no longer (without anyone noticing) qualifies as the Cool House.

for otherwise, though.

Hm, you’re right, but then if that clause wasn’t there, we would be left with the passive statement:

“An Architect holds a Civil Title if their Site meets the criteria for that Title.”

Which means that an Architect could hold the Title without having claimed it, because they haven’t noticed their Site meets the criteria.

Having just the other half of the clause would work: if you’ve claimed a title you get to keep it until someone else claims it from you (even if your site doesn’t meet its criteria any more).

Yeah okay, if this proposal is enacted we could alter it then.
