Proposal: Simpler Victory Condition

Self-killed. -Purplebeard

Set each Farmer’s Points to zero.

Rewrite rule ‘Points’ as follows:

Each Farmer has a number of Points tracked in the GNDT. New Farmers start with 0 Points.

Whenever a Zombie moves into a House that is owned by a Farmer, the owner of that House loses all points and the owner of the Zombie gains 1 point.

If there is exactly one Farmer with the highest number of Points among all Farmers (excepting the Landlord), and that Farmer has at least 8 Points, they have achieved victory. As a weekly action, the Landlord may decrease the first numeral in this paragraph by one.

imperial While I think this is a valid victory condition, I am unsure about the use of the word “numeral”. I am sure that you mean the ‘8’ as the first digit in this paragraph, but when I read for example wikipedia, it is quite unclear wether or not “numeral” only refers to the digits or also to written number-words.

If this is indeed clear and it is just me having problems with it, just say so, as I am clearly no english-expert. (I am German.)

From the English Oxford Dictionary,

Numeral
Pronunciation:/ˈnjuːm(ə)r(ə)l/
noun

a figure , symbol, or group of figures or symbols denoting a number.
a word expressing a number.

This means that the landlord could make it into “If there is exactly zero Farmer with the highest number of Points among all Farmers” which I suspect isn’t the intended change.  against
