In the rule “Reminders”, after the text “If at least a quorum of Wordsmiths have posted a Backronym since the most recent Acrogenerate”, add “and it’s been at least 24 hours since the most recent Acrogenerate,”.
In the same rule, replace “Open Backronym” with “Backronym that’s been Open for at least 24 hours”.
Clucky made a good point that even if a quorum of Wordsmiths are on a quick playing cycle, the others shouldn’t be bothered until at least 24 hours after the most recent Acrogenerate.
I don’t see what the harm is, here. It’s a neutral notification, the recipient isn’t required to do anything immediately in response.
Clucky already complained to me when I had sent a reminder to him less than 24 hours after an Acrogenerate. He felt like it was pressure to take dynastic actions at a faster pace than he was comfortable doing.
The harm here is in making was is supposed to be a fun dynasty less fun if people feel like I’m bothering them too soon with reminders. I don’t want someone to idle out merely because they feel pressure to act too fast.
I mean, you can just… not.
I dunno, the whole reminders thing feels a little coddling to me, I think I’d prefer an auto-shunt to Yielding after a threshhold of inactivity is met.
I think this isn’t very necessary, but there’s no harm in adding it to the ruleset.
