Something weird is happening

I’m posting comments to Arth’s DoV, but they’re not showing up. But the number of comments is still increasing.

Comments

There appears to be a limit to the number of comments that can be shown.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 02:05:25 UTC

nice. we just won the comment war.

Yoda:

15-01-2009 02:07:54 UTC

Roflmao!!!!!

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:10:26 UTC

I just found a way for admins to read the comments.

Edit tab, view comments of a post from there, read the missing comments…

Klisz:

15-01-2009 02:11:36 UTC

Anyway, if anyone wants to continue that nomic-within-BlogNomic (even though I’m not going to join that nomic), they can do it here. Even though the idea sucks.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:13:57 UTC

Actually, the way to read missing comments is edit tab, post’s comments, click on the username of the commenter whose comments are missing, click on comment.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:16:42 UTC

Shocking, isn’t it, that I found all this important administrative information that not even Kevan could find?

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:18:16 UTC

Oh, and it seems that admins can, but shouldn’t, edit comments.

Yoda:

15-01-2009 02:18:36 UTC

And apparently, we can hide comments, too.

Yoda:

15-01-2009 02:19:34 UTC

And Rodlen, it seems we found it at the exact same time because I had already seen it before I saw your comment.

Yoda:

15-01-2009 02:22:02 UTC

And when we hide comments, there’s nothing to even show that there was a comment there unless an admin goes to the same screen.  That could be very bad if someone decided to exploit it.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:23:17 UTC

Yes.

Very, very bad.

Yoda:

15-01-2009 02:23:19 UTC

And, Rodlen, if you try to edit the comments, it says access denied.

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 02:23:29 UTC

Movement to not let this information spread to Citizens who cannot be trusted.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:24:01 UTC

For example…I will hide this comment.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:24:22 UTC

I will hide this comment.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:24:37 UTC

I will edit this comment.

EDITED, yo.

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 02:28:50 UTC

Wow! This is amazing!

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:31:31 UTC

That, my friend, is how you mess with the world.  I promise not to abuse this power.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 02:32:29 UTC

And I promise not to abuse mine. too much.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:33:13 UTC

H…HOW DID YOU ADMIN A POST!?!

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 02:33:36 UTC

I trust Rodlen, but not the guy who isn’t actually an admin. . . .

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 02:34:37 UTC

He’s got those Darth Cliche secret admin powers. . . AND I DON’T!!! How unfair is that?!

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 02:36:45 UTC

Very unfair.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 02:58:29 UTC

Not really. He gets on my account often enough. And I can’t really use them for much anything without permission from an admin. Unless you plan to allow me to use them legally when appropriate…

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:00:56 UTC

Wakukee has even more admin powers then me.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:02:39 UTC

WHAT?!?

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 03:02:58 UTC

Darth, you have full admin powers.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:03:58 UTC

He means more tan he had before he became a full admin.

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:03:59 UTC

What I meant was, he has more admin powers than I had before I was an actual admin.

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:04:44 UTC

Posted at the same time as Wak.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:05:06 UTC

I mean than.

oh yeah. WHAT?!?

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:05:39 UTC

That last comment too.

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:07:26 UTC

I apparently had no real glitch powers at all - all I could do was use the little “admin” box below the post box, and Syl and Gramira can do that too.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 03:09:27 UTC

And you proved you could edit posts that were not yours, and you proved you could enact and fail proposals…

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 03:10:48 UTC

Man, I cannot do any of those things. I demand equality!

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:11:17 UTC

I could only edit my own posts.

Enacting and failing proposals? I just set my own posts to “Enacted” or “Failed”. I think non-admins can do that too.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:12:32 UTC

He, he! This is hilarious!
Thanks for the comment tips, Rodlen! I can do the same things you can, but only for comments made on my own posts.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 03:13:01 UTC

Nope.

Rodlen:

15-01-2009 03:14:46 UTC

That was to Darth.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:16:07 UTC

The issue is not the extent of Datrth and my powers, but whether or not I can use mine legally (when an admin could normally do the same thing).

Qwazukee:

15-01-2009 03:17:58 UTC

Hmm, it appears I can enact/fail my own posts as well (although I will do no such thing now). This is all very disorienting.

Wakukee:

15-01-2009 03:19:00 UTC

Also; Rodlen, I thought you knew that I had admin powers from when I told you that I knew how to delete posts?

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:19:19 UTC

So I had very limited glitch admin powers. Interesting.

Klisz:

15-01-2009 03:21:13 UTC

Posted at the same time as Wak and Qwazu.

Clucky: he/him
