In the rule “Workplaces”, replace “Each Townsperson without a Workplace may have an Acumen, tracked as a number in the Workplace field.” with:-

What’s the rationale for this? And why are we excluding 0 as a possible Acumen?

The “-10 Acumen per book” mechanism is broken without it, as it will sometimes attempt to set Acumen to negative values. Excluding zero was accidental.
Hm, the 0 should be added, though, otherwise people with Acument 10 and 1 book will still block the acumen-decreasing.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
