Proposal: Surly Patch

Times out and passes at 10-0. -Purplebeard

If Josh’s Proposal at http://blognomic.com/blognomic/archive/slip_the_surly_bonds/ has passed, then set every Time Monk’s Chronotohms to 0 and replace in the ruleset the text “A Time Monk can acquire Chronotohms through a variety of means” with the slightly longer text “Every Time Monk’s Chronotohms default to 0. A Time Monk can acquire Chronotohms through a variety of means”.
If Josh’s Proposal at http://blognomic.com/blognomic/archive/slip_the_surly_bonds/ has not passed, then there is no such thing as a Chronotohm, therefore you can’t set them to 0!

imperial What if a CfJ introduces the concept of “Chronotohms” before this passes but Josh’s proposal fails? Then we’d be in trouble.

Clucky: I have rewritten the “if it hasn’t passed” four times because I was concerned a simple “then do nothing” might cause trouble.
But I figure if I can’t write useless sentences in my proposals without breaking anything, then how could I write rule changes?

Besides, I believe that anything that is not a rule change (or gamestate change) in a proposal has no effect, so “there is no such thing as a chronotohm” is harmless.
