Change the effects of Synergy to be

The next time a Spell is cast this Duel which directly targets the position this Wizard is in, also apply the Effects of that spell to the position of Wizard who cast it

If the current open Duel is 11 or later, also make the same changes changes the effect Synergy in the current duel’s spell list

Ideally synergy should just recast the spell at the person who cast it on you. but currently doesn’t do that.

The current version does not work the way it was originally intended and makes the spell a lot worse as spells like doom cloud and burn can easily be triggered by it. See the results for duel 9.

So it’s really a case of whether you think the effects of the Burn damage on neighbors and of Doom Cloud should cause the Wizard casting either of those to suffer the effects if another Wizard affected by those spells cast Synergy.
