In the subrule Doctor, set the text to:

If a villager is the Doctor, e may secretly tell the mayor of a villager who is their target. If their target would otherwise have been killed by a werewolf attack, the doctor instead saves the villager from death. The Doctor may not target the same villager more than two nights in a row. If a villager would have died, but was saved by the werewolf, the mayor shall send a message to the saved villager and the doctor stating that they were saved from a werewolf attack, but shall not publicly reveal this information, they may only reveal that no one was killed, but not why.

I’m not sure I see what this is trying to do. Is “If a villager would have died, but was saved by the werewolf” a typo for “by the doctor”?

Also, why the clause saying that “they may only reveal that no one was killed, but not why”? What’s wrong with someone telling everyone that the doctor saved them from a werewolf attack?

Yes, typo.  The saved villager can, but the mayor cannot. In case the villager wants to keep it a secret.

Okay, I was reading it as “the mayor shall send a message to the saved villager and the doctor stating that they [...] shall not publicly reveal this information, they may only reveal that no one was killed, but not why”.

Shouldn’t I also tell the attacking werewolves, so that they know their attack actually happened during the night?

Good question… Becasue it would make sense that they should know it happened, but if the villager didn’t die from it, currently the only explination would be the doctor, meaning they would know anyways, so, there’s no real point it keeping it all secret then, is there, since if there werewolves know, then there’s no reason for the saved or the doctor to need to hide.
