Replace the following from the rule entitled Movement:
If that causes the other Gladiator to die then the Gladiator who Shoved them is awarded a Frag.
with:
If a Gladiator dies as a direct result of being Shoved then every Gladiator who shoved him since he last spent AP is awarded a Frag.
Teamwork?
since it says ‘direct result’. Gladiators dying in traps is an indirect result, I’d argue.
also because I like the proposal ‘Body count’ better and it relies on this proposal not passing. Please repropose a fix that works on top of ‘body count’
(Ah, and actually “Action and Abstraction” accidentally overwrites the effects of this proposal by repealing and rewording the “Movement” rule. Sorry about that.)
Not sure about the usefulness of this. It seems like a big gamble to spend a Shove setting someone up for a follow-up Shove that might not happen, when you could just hold your AP back and hope that a better target (which would get a Frag for you alone) comes along before the end of the turn. More importantly, though, it seems like a particularly easy multiplier for any players who are coordinating in realtime on IRC or elsewhere.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
