Proposal: Teaming up

Replace the text

If the result of DICEX (where X is the Zombie’s Attack) is major or equal than the object’s Defence (or 1 if the object has no Defense), the Object will get destroyed. The Zombie shall then suffer the object’s Pheromone, if any.

in the rule titled “The Dead” with

If the result of DICEX (where X is the sum of the Attack value of all Zombies on the same Square as the attacking Zombie) is major or equal than the object’s Defence (or 1 if the object has no Defense), the Object will get destroyed. The Zombie shall then suffer the object’s Pheromone, if any.

This allows multiple zombies attacking the same object to actually be more dangerous.

Yes, this means that multiple dice rolls can occur when multiple zombies controlled by the same person are shambling.  I don’t know of a good way of preventing that, feel free to propose a fix.

against As written, if two zombies attack the same crop in a row, the first attack will be at half strength, rather than not taking place at all.  So, I think this is too strong.

Also, not all zombies are properly balanced for this rule, especially Wanderers, Carcasses, and Psychic Zombies, especially Psychic Zombies.

against I don’t like it. Just because, I don’t think Zs _should_ team up at all. They should hinder each other, more likely…. :-)

mideg: Currently, there is no way to destroy a shed that is in the left 3 columns because there is no zombie with enough attack to take it down on its own.  This allows for multiple zombies being more dangerous (but of course more costly).

Yoda:

aguydude: I don’t see what you mean by half strength.  The first zombie will have normal attack while the second has combined attack unless they both start on the same square.  I said in the flavor text that this does not prevent more than one zombie from attacking the same crop.

Yoda: I mean exactly what you said.  Allowing the first zombie an attack seems a bit unfair.

I wanted to post exactly the same thing.

Yoda: Yes, use a bombie.

I might be persuaded if using their combined strengths somehow weakens them, too, or at least makes one of them not attack at all.

mideg: Bombies only travel for 3 squares and then explode.  If the shed is more than 3 squares away from the right side, then there’s no way for the bombie to get to it.

mideg:

Yoda: You are right. I have misread the bombie.

Reiterating my against vote:

Summon 5 Psychic Zombies and 10 wanderers on the same square.  For the low price of 80 juice, you can instantly get in 5 attacks with 50 attack power on a single row.  I say 80 juice is a low price, because this gives very high probability of slaughtering a Sunflower, a shed, or anything else.
