Proposal: The Alternative Factor

Timed out and failed, 4 votes to 5. Josh

Rename “Mind over Antimatter” to “Antimatter Research”.

Add a paragraph to it:-

While multiple Citizens meet the criteria for achieving victory, none of them are considered to be achieving victory.

In the continued absence of a tiebreaker, perhaps we should flip the current “if two or more players win, they all get to make DoVs, there are no guidelines on the etiquette of how to vote on those DoVs” to “if two or more players win, none of them win, one of them has to agree to back down by moving, dropping items or idling”.

In my case, I enjoy the chaos and litigation that ensues, but then I am from the deterministic-pragmatic wing of the current BlogNomic schismatic church

For the record, I like the idea of forcing a tiebreaker to emerge in this way.  for

Also, I like Josh’s giving a name to his perspective, tongue-in-cheek though it may be. Feels like we could definitely use some terms for the divergent expectations of various players. Nomics are a unique brand of game in certain ways, such as how scams have been sometimes supported by many players.

The chaos is just “multiple players win, multiple players make DoVs, players try to drag out their FOR votes to favour their preferred candidate”, isn’t it?

It makes sense if you have a large cabal behind you, or if you’re an admin who’ll probably be able to make their DoV first and start accruing votes earlier, but seems just as likely to backfire otherwise.
