Proposal: The Bloggsball Sports Almanac

Times out with the Space Maestro’s DEF resolving to AGAINST, 2-3. Failed by Brendan.

In “Maestro Missions”, replace “A Maestro Team Member may not have as a Focus any Parallel Dynasty in which their name appears, either on the player list on the history page or as Emperor, for fear of creating a quantum paradox and destroying the universe.” with:-

Each Persona has a publicly-tracked Paradox score, measuring how much the forces of the Prime Dynasties have altered their personal timeline. If a Maestro Team Member has the highest Paradox score among Persona, then that Member is Unstable. If a Maestro Team Member would achieve victory while Unstable, they instead do not achieve it.

Whenever a Maestro Team Member changes their Focus to a Parallel Dynasty in which their name appears, either on the player list on the history page or as Emperor, they must also increase their Paradox score by 1.

In “Parallel BlogNomic”, replace “Set that name to be the Emperor of the parallel dynasty being discovered.” with:-

The Maestro Team Member may either set the Emperor of the parallel dynasty being discovered to the generated name, or (if they also gain 3 Paradox themselves) set it to their own name.

Making paradox a measurable quantity, and allowing players to nudge dynasties to their parallel self’s favour when researching them, at a price.

against Not a fan of the most frequent past emperors maybe gaining an advantage because their name comes up more often. So I feel that being the Emperor of parallel dynasties shouldn’t be indicated to be worth something.

imperial I like the change to Paradox Missions but, with two Kevan parallel dynasties already discovered, I do acknowledge Ty’s concern that nudging the game in the direction of “more parallel emperorships = better” probably goes badly for everyone else.
