Proposal: The Cartlesham Manor we all know and love

Remove “Move to another room on any floor.” from the list of the Dark Actions in the rule ‘2.6 Lights’.
Add the following entries to the list:

Move to a room on a floor above. The same as ‘Move to another room on the same floor’ except for that only Tradesmen may do this action and the room has to be a floor above them.

Move to a room on a floor below. The same as ‘Move to a room on a floor above’, except that only Gentry may do this instead of Tradesmen and the specified room has to be one floor below them instead of above.

Move to the floor with most people. The same as ‘Move to a room on a floor above’, except that only Servants may do this instead of Tradesmen and the specified room must be on the floor with the most people (according to the GNDT).

Move to the Basement. The same as ‘Move to another room on the same floor’, except for that this only succeeds in every third Dark List that has this action the Executor processes.

Return to their original room. This movement is not tracked in the GNDT, and is instead privately noted by the Executor. Only the Murderers and Detectives may do this action. They are moved to the room they were in when their Dark List was started processing. This dark action does not cause noise.

The Murderers/Detectives should think before they act so as to not give them away; but there should be ways in which they won’t be given away otherwise.
This is a possible alternative, not especially fond of it myself. Unrealistic, but hopefully interesting enough…
I think I was a bit too explicit in these, but oh well…

Wanted to give the servants a flexible movement like the others and also remove the burden.
The ‘every third’ rule is important because everyone’s going to include ‘Move to the Basement; Repair the Fusebox’... we could even make it implicit O_O ...or maybe we should make a system of Dark Actions that make it worth it to not do that all the time ....or make ‘move to the basement’ take 4 Dark Action slots, making people risk their lives. If anyone finds any of these or anything else a good enough idea, feel free to make a proposal…. I might just be a little too tired (UTC+1, around 2 o’clock)

Another Déjà vu… a chain of Déjà vu’s, none the less…
I really hope I’m in some Sci-fi/else novel/else ‘cause otherwise I might have to see a psychologist/else…

So can the Gentry move down to the basement from the first floor without the “every third” rule?

It is thematically arbitrary, but I kind of liked it liked it up until “Move to Basement” only working every third time. Also, Tradesmen and Gentry can move up or down as many times as they want, while Servants can move floors only once. I don’t know that it’s important, but the “return to original room” action increases the maximum strike-and return range of the murderers from 2 floors to 3.
