Proposal: They Are Coming

If the rule “Battlefields” does not exist, this proposal has no effect.

Replace the following:

A Battlefield has three randomly selected battle effects


A Battlefield has a name and exactly three battle effects.

Add the following onto the end of rule “Battlefields”:

===Current Battlefields===

These are the current Battlefields, with their respective battle effects:

* City Gates—nearby, walled, level

“My lord, an army approaches! They are nearly at our City Gates!” A knight burst into the royal court with none of the usual decorum.

“Impossible!” thundered Counselor Arnok, “the armies in the West ... The queen herself in her missives assured us they were thirty days journey at the nearest!”

I’m not sure I like that this removes the ability to do random battlefields.

Or maybe more clearly, I’m not sure I like that it seems like the only way to create a battlefield is by making a change to this rule?

[Kaia] The rule isn’t finished anyway, so we would have to propose changes to it in either case.

That said, I prefer random generation for battlefields, so we don’t have any bias, or have easily exploitable combos pop up.  imperial

With the proposed battle system distinguishing between Duels and other battles, I think that we can actually support both established battlegrounds and random ones.
