Proposal: Town Meeting: Guns for Smythes

Reached reduced quorum of eight, with the death of the Mayor. Enacted by Kevan - a gun is procured for 250,000 pfennings from a neighbouring village, and given to the gunsmith for examination.

Wherefore as the gunsmythe is a dangerous position, and as the village is in desperate needs of his services, and as he can work more ably with a template, and as he can work more confidentially when not fearful for his lyfe;

Therefore, assuming the Mayor or his agent is able to locate a suitable ware, shall the village purchase, from its coffers at its own expense, a gun to be provided to the villager with a gun related occupation, currently being Amnistar;

Furthermore, up to 500,000 pfennigs shall be allocated towards this purpose as the Mayor sees fit, assuming a suitable ware can be located and purchased for that amount within a reasonable time;

However, should there be more than or fewer than one villager with a gun related occupation at the time this proposal passes, whether due to death or to vacancy or by an eagerness to serve, then therefore shall the gun pass into the possession of the Mayor, to be distributed as he sees fit.

translation: the gunsmith gets a gun, and the treasury is reduced by 500,000, assuming the Mayor believes that price is fair. if there’s more than one gunner (or the gunsmith has died), then the Mayor gets a gun instead.

Let me see if I’ve got this right…  Amnistar gets a gun out of the town’s pocket, stays Gunsmith just long enough to make one for aaronwinborn (quid pro quo), and immediately drops out into a less dangerous profession?  against

for I like the idea of having a gun! :)  Not that it does anything at this time…since the rules only say we can hold the items…not that they do anything.
