Proposal: Unearthly Powers

7-0. Timed-Out.—Chronos

[ Hm, can see potential infinite-annoyance things in Strange Powers, as soon as we introduce many more forms of Worship - that as soon as there’s a way to get 10 Worship for a very specific but attainable set of circumstances, you can use it to repeatedly build or destroy Temples. So limiting it to once per city (or deity) per day should cap that. ]

If “Strange Powers” passed, add the following paragraph to the end of the “Powers” rule:-

Deities may use their Powers at any time - however, a single Power may never be used to affect a particular City or Deity more than often. Where a Power says that it can only be used in a specific type of City, it means that its target or targets must be in that city.

Chuck in a few more Worships and Mights while we’re here (unless, again, more than three voters have said that they consider a component to be abusable, in which case skip that one):-

  • Miracle: You must expend 2 Quintessence to perform a Miracle, when using this Power. (+20 Global Worship)
  • Leader: Each Deity may only have one Power with this component. (+5 Global Worship)
  • Wrath: Power can only be used within 24 hours of one of your Temples being destroyed by a Deity from another Pantheon. (+6 Global Worship)
  • Pantheon: Power can only be used to affect Temples belonging to other members of your Pantheon. (+12 City Worship)
  • Flood: Choose a City. Each Deity with a Temple in that City loses one of those Temples. (+30 Global Might)
  • Brimstone: Destroy a City whose Temples belong to a single Pantheon. (+40 Global Might)

Reword “Sign” to “You must expend 1 Quintessence to give your people a Sign, when using this Power. (+10 Global Worship)”

for for these mix and match powers it is a good idea to have a limit. I’m not sure there isn’t an abusable combination in there.
