Call for Judgment: We were actually frozen all along

As per “Gamestate tracking”, we have:

Any single official post cannot be of two different types of Official Post unless a rule explicitly states otherwise.

“Type” isn’t defined anywhere, so I believe it must take the usual english meaning, which (by https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/type) is: “a particular kind, class, or group”

A “Voteable Matter” is a “a particular kind, class, or group” of Official Post.

A “Proposal” is a “a particular kind, class, or group” of Official Post.

Official Post of the Proposal type also need to be of the Voteable Matter type. However, Official Posts can only be of one type, and the Ruleset doesn’t explicitly mention that “a Proposal can have two different type of Official Posts”.

Therefore, Proposals can’t be made, because they need to be Voteable Matters if created, yet it’s not allowed for them to have two types. CFJs can’t be made either. This isn’t even a CFJ, actually, according to that paradigm.

Once “enacted” (after informally restarting the game), this “CFJ” (if it were), will amend “Any single official post cannot be of two different types of official post unless a rule explicitly states otherwise.” to:

Any single official post cannot be of two different types of official post (except “Voteable Matter”) unless a rule explicitly states otherwise

I kind of wanted to use this later on to do a variant of “Freezebullet” but meh I’ll just post it now lol.

The very first sentence of the rule “Vottable Matters” is:

A Votable Matter is a post which Explorers may cast Votes on, such as a Proposal, a Call for Judgement or a Declaration of Victory.

This is somewhat explicit.

I get where you’re going, but there is no “somewhat explicit”.

Explicit: fully revealed or expressed without vagueness, implication, or ambiguity (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/explicit)

Or

Explicit: fully and clearly expressed or demonstrated; leaving nothing merely implied; unequivocal (http://www.dictionary.com/browse/explicit)

If it has vagueness or it has some part “implied”, then it’s not explicit.

“A Votable Matter is a post which Explorers may cast Votes on, such as a Proposal, a Call for Judgement or a Declaration of Victory.”

Which means that any post which Explorers may cast Votes on are Votable Matters.

Now in this game Vote is defined in the Appendix as
“Vote: The word “Vote”, used as a noun, means a Vote that is cast in accordance with Rule “Votable Matters”. The word “Vote”, used as a verb, means the act of casting such a Vote.”

So any post which may be voted upon in accordance to the rule “Votable Matters” is a votable matter, with some votable matters listed, but not all.

By the way an official post is defined in Gamestate Tracking: “Posts following the format specified by a rule are considered official posts.”

However since the rule Voteable Matters doesn’t restrict which posts can be voted on, every post which it is not prohibited to be voted upon is a votable matter.

So your solution solves nothing!  against

@Card: AAAAHHH! I didn’t notice that lol. Oh well, at least I’ve managed to put to light the issue, and I’m glad you see it too.

Different types need to be exclusive and not subtypes.
