Proposal: Werewolf Prisoners

Add a sub-rule to 2.3 (Werewolves), called ‘Werewolf Prisoners’:

During any nightime period, if a living werewolf has an occupation of prisoner, there is a 50% chance that he will temporarily visibly change into a werewolf at some point during the night. In such case, the Night Watchman, and each of the villagers who possess a set of Gaol Keys, each have a 1 in 3 chance to witness the change (assuming their status is Alive at the time), as determined by the Mayor, who will notify the werewolf and each witness of the results.

Add the following to rule 2.1.1.4 (Gaol):

If a prisoner has a set of Gaol Keys, then they shall be placed into possession of the other villager with a set of Gaol Keys. If a prisoner has both sets of Gaol Keys, then they shall be placed into possession of the mayor.

I dislike the second part, and the first part seems convoluted to me.  If someone has the gaol keys, then we can take them away in the meeting when we imprison them.  Then simple state, the watchmen, and anyone with a gaol key have a chance of seeing the werewolf, determined by X mechanism.

I don’t see why we shouldn’t allow prisoners to have keys if necessary.  Temporarily locking oneself up to avoid werewolves is both in-theme and useful.
