What Kind of Habitat

Just checking what the group vision for the organism is, so I can add detail to the habitat.

Is this supposed to be a reef dwelling organism, and we should surround it with rocks and coral?
Or is this supposed to be a deep ocean dweller, with pits, wrecks, perhaps an underwater vent or two?
Or is it something atypical like a cave?

My gut says its a deep ocean dweller, but all of the awesome things I want to litter the habitat with are all reef like.

I could just propose, but I would like to test the waters first.

I personally would love a super exotic alien landscape.

Like maybe we’re some kind of “fish” in an ocean of boiling soda with islands made of clay, gold and crystal cyanide floating around.

Rocks may shift from the earth. Corals may grow on the rocks. Some grow on the sulphurpus vents of the deep, or maybe I dreamed that.
Time is long.
I feel the shadow of another dimension just beyond, another one or two. It is hard to tell.
Throw the light and say what you see, we are yet without eyes.

I was imagining a deep sea creature in pitch black water, but I’m open for anything else.

I was also assuming deep ocean.

We should also decide at some point whether the map is an above-view plan of the aforementioned sea bed, or a side view with the sea floor along the bottom…

Did I say light?
I might have been thinking of sound.

Fire up the photophores.

We have photophores?
It’s hard to tell from the inside.
I am pleased.
I also think we are the right way up.

We can tell night from day. Very important to survival.

[Card] Can we? or are we in a great ocean with no features, and nothing so simple as day. What is this “sun” you speak of.

Putting the organism on a cliff or crevice is tempting. That’s a good idea.

Maybe our quest could be to find another organism just like us and mate. We’re complex though to have beaks and limbs and whatnot, a nice endgame goal could be to have lots of creature babies and be an evolutionary success.

Maybe the Creature can be like snails and basically clone itself.

Yeah. What I had in mind is that there are two ways to win to make it interesting, either by turning into a male organ and impregnating other Creatures or by turning into a female one and getting impregnated and giving birth to Creatures yourself
