In the rule “Scoring”, replace the bulleted item “* Post a comment to that Backronym noting that the Backronym is now closed, and stating how many Points were gained during this Resolving, and which action steps they were gained from” with the following bulleted item and sub-items:
* Post a comment to that Backronym containing all of the following:
** Text indicating that Backronym is now closed
** For each word in the title of that Backronym, and privately selecting the Buzzword that has the most letters contained in that word (privately randomly selecting among ties), text with that title word and the number of letters that matched that privately selected Buzzword
** For each Wordsmith that gained or lost Points during the resolving of that Backronym, text with that Wordsmith’s name, the amount and gain or loss of Points, and which action steps they were gained or lost from
Adding some hints for the Buzzwords when resolving a Backronym.
This could also be a late-mover advantage to offset the early-mover advantage of fewer words in the Word Bank.
I don’t see how this actually provides a late-mover advantage to compensate- all it does is provide info for the next round unless we’re literally waiting 48 hours at a time for each backronym to resolve in turn before a single person posts another one with the info provided.
