Y’all can call me Captain, now.
I’m changing my name to “Captain.” Keep in mind that I’m still not “The Captain.”

Not particularly. If this requires more ruletext tightening to prevent this kind of naming scam, I think it will make the ruleset even more clumsy. I recommend social smackdown.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
BlogNomic is powered by pMachine ExpressionEngine.

Hix:
For anyone who may be confused: “Captain” is the sneaky sneak formerly known as “Bucky”. As far as I can tell, this move has the following effects:
1) The monkey/apple/curse special motley combo now refers to em (no big deal)
2) The Captain may be prevented from vetoing adventures (this is open to interpretation—see the last sentence of Rule 2.9)
3) If we lose an encounter with a Kraken, e is sent to Davy Jones’ Locker, not the Captain (OK, this one is pretty funny)
4) Similarly, e is punished if we lose an encounter to a Ship of the Line
5) E may declare victory after having been Captain for 3 full days (pretty serious—see first paragraph of Rule 2.18)
6) Something incredibly silly happens in case of successful mutiny (see last 2 paragraphs of Rule 2.19)
