Proposal: Actually They Are Called Temporal Meters

Reached quorum, 6-3. Enacted by TyGuy6.

Add the following as a subrule to the rule Parallel BlogNomic, if it exists, called Temporal Footprints:

Each parallel universe dynasty has a Temporal Footprint which is a publicly tracked list of names of (possibly idle) Maestro Team Members, and by default is empty.

A Maestro Team Members is said to be associated with a parallel universe dynasty if their name appears as an entry in that dynasties Temporal Footprint.

Add the following to the atomic action in which a Maestro Team Member may learn of a parallel universe dynasty:

* Add the name of the Maestro Team Member performing this action to the Temporal footprint of the parallel dynasty being discovered.

Add the following to “Parallel Dynastic Histories”, but only if it exists and https://blognomic.com/archive/streamlined_generation passed

A parallel dynasty’s history page may also contain the terms synonymous with “Emperor” and “Player” for that dynasty. As a weekly action, a Maestro Team Member may perform the following atomic action known as Term Research
* Pick a parallel dynasty they are not associated with
* Use the Paralleliser with a seed list of Emperor Terms (101-199) list from the [[Dynasty Data]] page to generate an Emperor Term. Set the Term synonymous with “Emperor” for the selected parallel dynasty to be the generated emperor term.
* Use the Paralleliser with a seed list of Player Terms (101-199) list from the [[Dynasty Data]] page to generate a Player Term. Set the Term synonymous with “Player” for the selected parallel dynasty to be the generated player term.
* Add the name of the Maestro Team Member performing this action to the Temporal footprint of the selected parallel dynasty.

Add the contents of the [[Dynasty Data/Player Terms]] wiki page to the [[Dynasty Data]] wiki page

against CoV - this isn’t going to match up with the dynasty theme at all, though, is it? We could choose some names that made sense rather than GPTing it all the way down.

[Clucky] GPT is good at generating random additional terms to fit a set, and at writing paragraphs of text from a starting prompt, but manually dice-rolling the outputs of unrelated lists together is in a different spirit.

A test run for the Deconstruction Dynasty tells us that its Emperor was the Cotton Candy and the Players were Warlocks, and all 99 dynasties are going to end up being something wacky like that. I like the idea that we could actually generate 99 plausible fictional dynasties that never happened, where an outside reader would find it hard to tell them apart from the real ones.

seems like something we can try and change later if someone has a better idea for how to create the emperor/player terms. and that way keep the temporal footprint stuff.

Maybe, could also be the kind of thing we can’t change back later because the group is split 50/50 on it and it only enacts because some people were voting for the other thing here.
