Add to “Goals” the following subrule called “Bonds” with:
A Sailor can Confess to another Sailor by sending a private message to the Narrator which clearly states that:
- They are Confessing
- The Sailor they are targetting
- One or more of their own Goals.
The Narrator shall then privately inform to this target these Goals which were stated for them and who sent them.
Seems more interesting if players can tell lies without being instantly asked for proof. Same reason that Werewolf doesn’t allow players to show each other their cards.
(In practice BlogNomic players generally tell the truth anyway, as it’s damaging to their actions in future dynasties if they get a reputation for lying.)
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
