Enact a new rule entitled “Sides” as follows:
Each player may have a Side, which is publicly tracked, defaulting to having no Side; the list of Sides is as follows:

* O
If a given player has no Side, then any player may randomly select a Side from the list above and assign it to that given player.
That was a pretty different situation, as there were explicitly only two possible victors, AND a carry-over favor system both already in place, so we had an explicit incentive to just get things over with and reset to a state where it was easier for the rest of the team to win.
If we hadn’t just done teams, and if Jumble hadn’t turned off dynastic distance, I’d be more in favor.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

Not sure how I feel about having two teams - The Tenth Metadynasty did this and it ended in one team just voting themselves the victor.
