Proposal: Finding the Time for Tygnwall

Timed out, 4-0. Enacted by JonathanDark.

Adminned at 14 Dec 2023 16:09:50 UTC

If “Speeding Things Up” was not enacted, this Proposal has no effect.

In the rule “Tyngwall”, replace the text “A Meeting of the Tyngwall every four days” with this text:

A Meeting of the Tyngwall takes place every four days at 18:00 UTC

I picked 18:00 instead of noon because, if this Proposal goes the full 48 hours, it will be enacted after noon and the current Tygnwall will have somehow already taken place, potentially putting it in a strange place. 18:00 UTC is more favorable to most time zones, in any case.

I’m not the 18:00 here actually works. If my proposal goes into effect, the next meeting gets scheduled for 4 days after the previous one took place. Which will still be noon.

How will it still be noon? If your proposal goes into effect, there is no longer a time at which the meeting takes place, as your proposal replaces the one sentence containing a time with a sentence that does not.

The current Tyngwall post only contains a date in the title. There is no reference to time other than the one place in the existing rule, and once your proposal removes that, the meeting time becomes undefined.
