Add a new rule titled “Position”

Each Candidate has a Position, tracked in the GNDT. A Candidate’s Position may be “Left”, “Centre” or “Right”. A new Candidate has the Position “Centre”. If a Candidate hasn’t changed eir Position in the current week, they may change their Position to any of the possible values.

Set each Candidate’s Position to “Centre”

Needs more dimensions. Also “Weekly action” exists for a reason.

Also, you may not know this, but Spivak was abolished quite a few dynasties ago.

it’s a gender non-specific concept.

because the idea is to actually have the factions be decided by who supports whom, not by ‘parties’.

Said parties should form behind people campaignging for the position not because people picked a slider value.

I don’t want this value to form the parties/factions. The idea is that the supporters think it does, so for example Mud Slinging might work better against people of the same position and poorly against the opposing one as their supporters would already distrust you. Maybe endorsing opposite position would let you take supporters from centrists who see you as being bipartisan?

Clucky’s right though, it is poorly worded.

Spivak wasn’t abolished Yoda, people just decided they could be lazy and not use it if they didn’t want to.

A quote from rule 1.1: “Admins may correct obvious spelling and typographical mistakes in the Ruleset at any time, including replacing Spivak pronouns with the singular “they”.”

That tells me that Spivak has been abolished.
