Proposal: Maybe we’re being a little too [Evil]

timed out, final vote 9-3—Yoda
No votes contained “alternate”.

Adminned at 15 Apr 2008 15:21:56 UTC

Change the second paragraph of “Evil Schemes” to read:

If an Evil Proposal fails without being vetoed, then that was exactly what the proposer was expecting - their Goatee Length is increased by 1. If an Evil Proposal fails because the Overlord vetoed it, however, this marks it as an excessively clumsy work of evil, and the proposer’s Goatee Length is reduced to 0. If an Evil Proposal passes, then the proposer is obviously not as devious as e believed, and eir GL is reduced by 1.

If a majority of for votes on this proposal are labeled “alternate”, then ignore the previous paragraph and instead change the first line of “Evil Schemes” to read:

A Henchman may decide once a week that a proposal they made is a particularly underhanded or devious piece of work, and they may draw attention to its being an Evil Proposal by including the string “[Evil]” in its subject line.

If “Proposal: No, Mr Spivak, I Expect You To Die [Evil]” passes, replace all Spivak pronouns in the ruleset with the singular “they”, and add “, including replacing Spivak pronouns with the singular ‘they’” to the end of the last sentence of rule 1.1.

imperial I intend to be exactly as evil as the Overlord commands. Any other metric is heresy.

for Good call, it is a bit of an automatic insurance at the moment.

for I agree that it is a bit to easy to get gl now. There is little downside to just labeling all your proposals [evil]

Just found a small error here. When a [evil] proposal passes you can now get a negative GL.

A quote from the glossary:
“Unless otherwise specified, game variables defined to hold numeric values can hold only non-negative integers, and any action that would set those values below zero instead sets them to zero.”

Yoda: thanks, missed that one.
