The Company can be in Takeover or not, and is by default it is not. Whether the Company is in Takeover or not is publicly tracked.

Resetting is weekly communal action, which may be performed by any Employee or the CEO, and is atomic action which consists the following steps:
* Set each Employee’s Production to their current Productivity
* Set each Employee’s Productivity to zero.
* If the Company is in Takeover, do the following sub-steps (otherwise skip them)
** If the Company is not In The Red, increase each Employee’s Vested Value by X, where X is the Company’s Equity multiplied by that Employee’s own Options
** Set Each Employee’s Options to 0
** The Employee(s) who currently have the largest Vested Value out of all other Employee(s) have achieved victory in this dynasty. The Employee or CEO performing this action should make a story post to the blog naming those Employee(s).
* If the Company is not in Takeover, but at least one Employee has a Vested Value over $1,000,000, set the Company to be in Takeover.

Doesn’t this create a simple timing exploit? Vest to $1m > head to R+D or Manufacturing > crash the budget > trigger the communal action… Again, this is pretty much just a long-form version of “whoever gets lucky first”

You cannot perform weekday actions until the Resetting action has been performed in a week.

So the idea unless you pull this off on Friday (which hopefully people could see coming) people would have time to respond and get their score up too.

maybe its too easy to lock everyone else out? I guess what Ty did will take a few days for everyone else to recover. Was trying to leverage existing systems that already gave us some timing exploit protection rather than adding new stuff.

against I think I would have voted for the old version, but a week to mull over how to stop the millionaire from winning sounds painful.
