Replace “the largest number of modules needed to cross between two corridor modules by moving from one adjacent corridor to another in a section of contiguous corridor modules” with:-

the largest number of contiguous Corridor modules

Longest Road is neat, but this keeps it simple, and also rewards circular and branching corridor plans.

I like this edition, but I also like the original idea as a way to avoid a big blob of corridor modules.

What if we added a clause saying “The largest number of contiguous Corridor modules which are adjacent to no more than two other Corridor modules.”

This would be simpler than the current wording, would allow for circular and branching corridors, and would also prevent a big blob of corridors, all at the same time?

I think the game already discourages big blobs of corridors - in a solid 4x4 square of corridors, the four in the middle don’t actively connect anything and would be better as other Modules.

If somebody wants (or has) to design an otherwise inefficient moonbase, and gets the Playground title as a reward, that seems okay to me.

for  I prefer the more concise definition, as it took me longer than I would have preferred to understand how the wording of derrick’s definition discouraged corridor blobs.
