Add a new rule, “Time Limit”:
If no Proposals have been enacted for the last 120 hours, the Organ with the most posterity points at that time has achieved victory if they haven’t made a DoV in the last 120 hours.
I’ll be a good sport about it. And derrick would certainly get incentivized.
Well, maybe this dynasty is meant to wind down by quiet evolutionary success… I was expecting some sort of cataclysm but this is sort of heartening. OK. Why not.
It seems like at this point with the rules as-is I could deny anyone else points, so it’s naturally going to end up in a stalemate (or a writing competition) anyway.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.

Admins can choose to enact proposals whenever they want, as long as the minimum amount of time specified in the ruleset has passed since they were proposed. There are multiple admins of course, but I don’t want to incentivize pokes to leave proposals sitting i the queue just so they can declare victory. Also, this doesn’t take into account failed proposals, any number can be failed without resetting the timeout.
