Call for Judgment: Player disparity

Less than Quorum not voting against. 1 to 7. Failed by Derrick.

Their is currently a problem with rules and the feelings towards the bloggers. Currently we are trying to solve problems that might not need to solved. There is not enough players on any one managers team to even begin putting some of these rules into effect (PEDS, Matches, etc)
This call for judgement is more of a call to attention to this problem.
To enact this CfJ, the Commissioner must vote.
This CfJ enacts, then all rules referencing bloggers on team, team size, or auctioning have the number reduced by 1 (ie blogger team size from 3 to 2). The Commissioner must then post 2 more auctions for bloggers.
If this is not the way to do, please let me know because this is an important issue that needs to be resolved now.

I would love it if this didn’t happen but we have come to a point in the discussion of PEDs that this problem can only really be solved by actually having the rules play out

against This isn’t specific enough to do what is intended, and anyway this isn’t really a problrm. Pokes will make some more auctions, everyone will get players.  All the functionality is there.

against I agree with Oracular rufio. I might be open to something to fill all teams with a standard player.

@Oracular what might be a better way to be more specific. And like I said it is more of a call to attention.

@Publius How might you go about filling the teams with standard bloggers, what stats should they have?

@Maldor I am not sure, but I think the commissioner might have a better idea.

against This trend of making preemptive proposals isn’t a bad thing imo, because the Dynasty is so young.

Well the standard stats for a player are 5 for everything, however since there isn’t a standard level. Since player levels range from 3 to 18 It might be fair to give everyone a level 9 player (as if each die rolled a 3); however I feel that we should wait and see what people’s teams are like once more players are auctioned.

The dynasty is still too early to rush it out by CfJ against

What would be more specific would be making a quote with exactly what you want to reword the rule to, rather than “decrease all the numbers by one” which probably has unintended consequences.

The purpose of CFJs is to resolve disputes.  There is no dispute, therefore there need be no CFJ.  If you just want to call attention to something, make a regular blog post.

It should be noted that CfJ’s are not JUST for disputes, though that is their most common use.

“If two or more Managers actively disagree as to the interpretation of the Ruleset, OR if a Manager feels that an aspect of the game needs urgent attention”

This is a proper CfJ.

I don’t agree with it though. I prefer games to lay down ground rules and then start play. In fact I asked for the auctions to slow down until we had a better idea of cash flow and player capability.
