A Creature has a name, a speed, a danger, a yield, a disposition and an uncommonness. The disposition can be either benign or angry.

Change “Whales are creatures with a name of “Whale”, a speed of 3, a danger of 1, a yield of 2, and an uncommonness of 0.” to

Whales are creatures with a name of “Whale”, a speed of 3, a danger of 1, a yield of 2, a disposition of benign and an uncommonness of 0.

Add to the list in “Creatures”

*Randomly determine its disposition

Add to the end of “Creatures”

If a Creature’s Danger is lowered by half of it’s original amount, to a minimum of 1, it’s disposition is set to angry.

Before the “Encounter” rule in “Hunts” add

Each weekday the Narrator rolls a DICEX for each angry Creature that is in the area and not already engaged in an encounter, where X is that creature’s speed. On a result greater than 4 that Creature forces an encounter and the Narrator makes a blogpost super-titled “Hunt”. For that encounter each Sailor, including ones which unidle or have just joined blognomic in the middle of the hunt, other than the Narrator are considered to have joined that hunt.

is there a precedent for counting votes in comments that have more than one voting icon? Cuddlebeam has done this here and on another proposal recently. The ruleset doesn’t specify directly.
“Each Sailor may cast one Vote on a Votable Matter by making a comment to the Official Post that comprises that Votable Matter using a voting icon of FOR, AGAINST, or DEFERENTIAL.” seems to imply through the use of “a” that there can only be one voting icon in the comment which comprises their vote.

I think its just the last one.

“A Sailor’s Vote on a Votable Matter is the last valid voting icon that they have used in any comment on that Votable Matter”

There’s bits of precedent for multiple-icon votes in past dynasties (usually as “I thought X but on reflection Y”), and the old Greasemonkey script certainly used to count them this way.

for This is a little blurry for generating an Encounter, calling it a Hunt and implying that it actually counts as a Hunt - a Hunt is just a call for Encounter crew, so that step could be skipped here. An all-hands Encounter is also likely to stall when it reaches a player who isn’t paying attention. But we can see where this goes.

Hmm, also “Sailors at an Encounter can perform an Encounter Action by making a comment to that effect on the Passenger’s Log post that announced the Encounter.” - so this Encounter wouldn’t be able to have any actions at it, since it wasn’t announced in a Log.

I’ll propose something to fix this up, we could do with clarifying how to hunt in an ocean with multiple Creatures anyway.
