In the rule “Scoring”, change the sentence
For each Wordsmith other than the Puzzler that did not post a Scoring to that Backronym, subtract 1 from that Wordsmith’s Points, to a minimum of 0, unless the author of that Backronym is that Wordsmith

Don’t obligate people who start Wordsmithing mid-round to post scores during a potentially very short window.
