In “Motifs”, replace “Immediately after taking a Tile Action, a Monk may claim a single Motif to perform its Benediction, if an instance of that Motif is now present on the Mosaic and the same instance was not present immediately before the Tile Action.” with:-

Immediately after taking a Tile Action or performing a Benediction, a Monk may claim a single Motif to perform its Benediction, if an instance of that Motif is now present on the Mosaic and the same instance was not present immediately before the action taken.

Maybe chains of pinwheels would be fun after all.

against That’s just a recipe for daisychaining pennants. No thank you. This already has enough of a first-actor advantage.

More seriously: daisychaining Stems, which instantly ends the game.

How do you end the whole game? I get that you can keep making a stem longer. But how do you fill in the other direction with greens?

Well you can fill in any adjacent white tile to any of the green tiles in the stem, right?

So you make 1-11 green, and the make 1-10 green, and then use that to make 2-10 green. That gives you two partial stems and you’re off to the races, it’s all pretty minimal necessary interventions after that. I’ve not worked out the maths of it but I reckon you could get most of the board with very few actual moves needed

The fact that you need three in a row I think makes it a bit harder to pull off. But I could definitely see someone clearing a large patch. maybe not end the entire game, but certainly put a huge dent in things.

It was because I was thinking like last dynasty you and was strategically trying to place them.

It was easy to notice that you could use 2 colors of the same side of one color wheel that you could try to find a different spot in which you had 2 different colors that were adjacent.
